Meet Zach
Zach Dorholt is a lifelong Minnesotan, mental health professional, dedicated father of three girls and community advocate committed to making our state a great place to live, work, and raise a family. With degrees in Community Development and Counseling Psychology from St. Cloud State University, Zach has spent his career expanding access to mental health care, supporting working families, and building stronger communities.
Elected to the Minnesota House in 2012, Zach served as Vice Chair of the Higher Education Committee, championing affordable education and student success. He currently serves on the St. Cloud Area School Board, where he works to ensure every child has access to quality public education.
Zach is also a nonprofit leader and co-founder of the Independent Music Collaborative of Central Minnesota, promoting youth engagement, local arts, and sober spaces. His service spans multiple boards focused on sustainability, public health, and civic engagement.
Born and raised in Minnesota.

Elected to MN House in 2012, and served during the 2013-2014 session; served as Vice Chair of the Higher Education Committee.
Elected to St. Cloud Area School District 742 School Board in 2018, and re-elected in 2022 (currently serving, and current term expires 12/31/2026).
Co-Founder of the Independent Music Collaborative of Central Minnesota, a non-profit that has brought the community; “Project 37,” an all ages/sober music program highlighting and promoting original music/bands in Central MN, the “Central MN Common Roots Fest,” a yearly event held in downtown St. Cloud that helps promote local music and downtown businesses, and most recently the “B-Side Indy Music Cafe,” a venue that hosts all ages/sober music performances highlighting original artists.
